Dykhouse Construction completed a two-story buildout for OVD Insurance located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids at 37 Ottawa. This project presented unique challenges, as navigating tight downtown spaces made material delivery and logistics especially complex.

The finished space showcases a balance of modern design and historic character, featuring exposed oak wood ceilings that highlight the building’s original charm. Both floors mirror each other in layout and design, including office spaces, conference rooms, private call booths, common areas, and kitchens or kitchenettes. The addition of a health room and mothers’ room reflects OVD’s commitment to employee well-being.

Every element of this buildout was thoughtfully crafted to align with the company’s vision, creating a warm, functional, and collaborative workspace that celebrates both history and innovation.
